Invitation to Prague

Since 1994 Old Boys Praha have organized international rugby veteran events called Old Golden Prague. We have already hosted 36 teams from 17 different countries from the whole Europe and also overseas (North America).

Up to now, 4 Old Golden Prague 2-days Events were organised: first of which in 1994 and the last one - 4th Old Golden Prague / 6th Georg Holek Cup - International Rugby Veteran Event on the occasion of 20th anniversary of Old Boys Praha in 2008... Since 2009 Old Boys Praha have started succesfully a new series of 1-day tournaments for players aged 40 and more years on the each-year basis for 8-12 teams. These events have been called OLD-PRAGUE HAM and the first one ran succesfully on June 19-21, 2009 with 6 participants from the Czech Republic, Italy and Spain.

On June 25-27, 2010 2nd Old-Prague Ham - International Rugby Veteran Games took place with 12 participating teams from Italy, France, Czech Republic, Spain, Hungary and Germany.

3rd Old-Prague Ham - International Rugby Veteran Games will take place in June 2011

and will be organised for the first time as a double event for 2 categories: Platinum Category for teams aged 50 and more and a classic Golden Category for teams aged 35 and more.

Prague is probably a first town in Europe where elder players has played in a separate tournament within one event - for the first time during 4th Old Golden Prague 2008.

Exact term of 3rd Old-Prague Ham 2011 is expected for June 10-12, 2011.
